Demolition of existing stair system in its entirety and the construction of a new timber stairway including installation of light fixtures. The lights were reconnected to the existing electrical services currently in place. During the demolition and construction the pavilion remained in use by the public. Contractor provided safety measures during work on the project to protect the public at the stair entrance location on the pier and on the beach. Project completed on time and on budget.
Sapelo Island Wildlife Resource Division(WRD) of DNR Boat slips – Installed piling, addressed gangway approach, Fixed roof joists, removed failed metal roof and installed a new metal roof over the multi-slip boat storage facility. Project completed on time and on budget.
Sapelo Island Ferry Landing – Reinforced dolphin at ferry landing. Project completed on time and on budget.
Sapelo Island Community Dock Project – Restored community dock to a pre storm condition. Pile replacement, installation of new bents and bring dock back straight.
Restored the areas effected by hurricanes to pre-hurricane status. The affected areas were a new fixed dock at the Butler Island Plantation Dock. Restored and stabilized the bank at the Butler Island Plantation Kayak Dock and Pavilion. Constructed flood control gates and installed wing walls at multiple Altamaha Waterfowl Management Areas. Constructed a new public fixed dock adjacent to Hxy 17. Price included all mobilization and material acquisition and disposal. Contractor maintained a clean, orderly job site. Project completed on time and on budget.
Restored closed timber bridge to occupiable status. This was determined by EMC Engineering. Set bridge level and even, piling installation, repair bulkhead, install dead men, piling and stainless cable installation, tamped backfill, replaced damaged bridge railing, removed and replaced drive boards.
